Our Process

At Money Plans, we follow a clear, four-step process to build and maintain your personalized financial plan. Every client relationship begins with listening — and continues with ongoing attention to your evolving needs.

1. Discovery

Our process starts with establishing and defining the client-advisor relationship. I will explain my services and compensation, as well as our respective responsibilities. I will gather your data and determine your goals and expectations. I'll ask questions aimed at understanding your financial situation, personal and financial goals, and your attitude about risk. And I'll gather all necessary documents.

2. Design

The next step is to analyze and evaluate your situation and determine the best way to achieve your goals. This analysis may include your assets, liabilities and cash flow, current insurance coverage, investments, or tax strategies. I'll then develop and present my recommendations and make sure that you understand them. I'll also listen to your concerns and revise my recommendations as appropriate.

3. Implementation

In the implementation stage, financial planner and client agree on how the recommendations will be carried out. I may personally implement recommendations, and/or serve as a "coach," coordinating with other professionals such as attorneys or accountants.

4. Maintenance

Finally, we will agree upon who will monitor your progress toward your objectives. If I oversee your progress, I will report to you periodically and adjust recommendations as needed. Your financial plan is a living document — we revisit it as your life changes.

A peaceful path forward
